mist. Against the backdrop of the tropical greenery, Brava is without a doubt one
of the prettiest islands of Cape Verde.
Its capital, Vila de Novo Sintra, is located 500m above sea level and is surrounded
by lush greenery and vegetation. It has retained its traditional charm and has yet
to become touristically commercialized. Away from the town is the only beach on
Brava; a black sandy beach in a nice little bay.
Brava is more suited for agriculturists and walkers / hikers than anything else.
It doesn't have any other water sports such as surfing or diving. This island offers
wonderful opportunities for photography.
Brava does not have any large hotels, but offer a number of smaller B & B's (bed
and breakfasts for visitors.
Brava is a 1hr ferry ride away from Fogo.
